Commercial Truck Travel Info
Traveling through the United States as a truck driver comes with a lot of responsibility. We want to make it as easy as possible to drive through the state of Indiana using the Indiana Toll Road.

Truck-Only Parking
Free rest areas for professional drivers are located at:
- MP 37 – Eastbound and Westbound
- MP 108 – Eastbound and Westbound
Please note that there are no fuel stations at these locations.
If your ticket is lost or 14 hours past initial issuance, the highest fare for your vehicle class will be
charged upon exit.
Make-up/Break-up Lots
Several lots are available for triple tractor-trailer load drop-offs and pick-ups. These lots are located at:
- MP 5: Calumet Ave Exit — note that this area requires rented spaces
- MP 31: Valparaiso Exit
- MP 96: Elkhart East Exit
- MP 144: Angola Exit
Additionally, the Indiana Department of Transportation (INDOT) has approved the following
off-road locations as authorized triple make-up/break-up areas on S.R. 13, directly to and from Exit 107 (Middlebury):
- Harter/Izzy Freight Terminal: 11451 Harter Dr., Middlebury, IN
- Syndicate Systems Terminal: 402 N. Main St., Middlebury, IN
Overnight Accommodations
There are no facilities for overnight parking of travel trailers located directly on the Indiana Toll Road. Lodging and campground facilities are available near most exits.
Complimentary reservation telephones are available inside the Travel Plazas at MP 56 (Eastbound and Westbound) and MP 126 Westbound.
Oversize / Overweight Permits
Oversize vehicles must use outside lanes about entering and exiting the road. Permit information can be found on the Indiana Department of Revenue website. For additional information, please refer to:
