Nightly Toll Plaza Lane Restrictions & Closures Begins June 1
The Indiana Toll Road will conduct overnight pavement rehabilitation and toll plaza improvements at multiple locations beginning June 1. Work will continue through early fall, with completion expected by October.
Work will take place nightly from 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM ET to reduce daytime travel impacts. Weather permitting, dates and locations for overnight Toll Plaza work is scheduled as follow:
- Eastpoint Plaza: Monday, June 1, 2026
- Notre Dame Plaza (Exit 77): Monday, June 8, 2026
- Angola Plaza (Exit 144): Friday, July 24, 2026
- Howe Plaza (Exit 121): Tuesday, September 1, 2026
- Elkhart Plaza (Exit 92): Monday, September 14, 2026
What travelers should know:
- Eastpoint and Angola Toll Plazas will remain OPEN at all times. Traffic will continue to flow through the plazas, with a limited number of lanes closed overnight for work.
- Howe, Notre Dame, and Elkhart Toll Plazas will experience FULL PLAZA CLOSURES on scheduled work nights between 7:00 PM and 5:00 AM. Motorists should plan alternate routes and follow posted detours during these closures.
Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead, allow extra overnight travel time, and use caution near work zones. All schedules are weather‑dependent.
PUSH 4.0 Project Successfully Completed
ITRCC is proud to announce the completion of PUSH 4.0 project, delivering major upgrades across the Indiana Toll Road. This phase included improvements to 34 miles of roadway, 25 bridge rehabilitations, safety enhancements, interchange upgrades, and modernization of the East Point Toll Plaza.
Completed in under a year, PUSH 4.0 marks a significant milestone in our commitment to safer, more efficient travel for all motorists. We sincerely thank all motorist for their patience throughout this project.

Smishing Reminder: The Indiana Toll Road Does Not Send Text Messages

Indiana Toll Road Reaffirms Commitment to Customer Data Privacy
The Indiana Toll Road does not send text messages or make phone calls requesting payment for unpaid tolls. If you receive such a message, it is a smishing scam. To confirm a balance, customers should log into their account or contact our Customer Care Center to check their account status.
Scammers have been using fraudulent text messages to deceive individuals into providing payment for unpaid tolls. These messages may appear to be from toll road agencies with links to pay a toll. If you receive a text message that seems suspicious or asks for sensitive information, do not click on the link, or respond to the message.
If you clicked any link or provided your information, take efforts to secure your personal information and financial accounts. We recommend calling your banking institution immediately to dispute any unfamiliar charges, then follow the steps to file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission or the FBI’s IC3.gov.

- File a complaint with the IC3, www.ic3.gov, be sure to include:
- The phone number from where the text originated.
- The website listed within the text
- Check your account using the toll service’s legitimate website.
- Contact the toll service’s customer service phone number.
- Delete any smishing texts received.

Better Tech for Better Tolling
The ITRCC refreshed the in-lane toll experience throughout 2023. This is a complete modernization of all in-lane equipment including new Automatic Toll Payment Machines (ATPMs), new transponder readers, new cameras, and a complete rework of back-office system designed to deliver quality-of-life improvements to toll collectors, customer service agents, and customers alike.
